Title: Thoughtless
Author: S.C. Stephens
Genre: Young Adult / Romance / Non-Fiction
Synopsis:
"For almost two years now, Kiera's
boyfriend, Denny, has been everything she's ever wanted: loving, tender and
endlessly devoted to her. When they head off to a new city to start their lives
together, Denny at his dream job and Kiera at a top-notch university,
everything seems perfect. Then an unforeseen obligation forces the happy couple
apart.
Feeling
lonely, confused, and in need of comfort, Kiera turns to an unexpected source—a
local rock star named Kellan Kyle. At first, he's purely a friend that she can
lean on, but as her loneliness grows, so does their relationship. And then one
night everything changes...and none of them will ever be the same." (Source:

First
of all, let me just say that I CAN'T wait for the third book to come out in
March 2013 (Reckless!! - that should give you some idea of how much i liked
this series)
Thoughtless
is the first book of the series, followed by Effortless. Like the synopsis
mentioned, the protagonist's name is Kiera, who just moved
to Seattle with her boyfriend Denny, in order to finish her
university degree. When she sees their new roommate and Denny's best
friend, Kellan, well let's say that Kellan's hotness and some tequila didn't do
anything good.
Since
Denny had to leave for two months in another city, Kiera finds herself very
lonely and she makes a very big mistake in getting too close with Kellan. (Like
in all my reviews, I will not give too much away)
First
of all, I was torn between Denny and Kellan. I feel like what Kiera did was
very wrong, but at the same time I do think that Kellan was best for her. There
are a lot of things happening in this first book (1020 pages on IPAD) and I
flew through it! Heartbreaks is just a mild thing to say, and to be honest i
felt heartbroken about the whole thing! I think it's a very twisted book, and
some of you might be team Denny and other team Kellan, because well they both
deserve it. Nonetheless I still hated Kiera a lot, she was
always undecided and scared and I just wanted to punch her!! haha
Other
than that, the books have a very nice plot, the story continues very well into
the second book and like mentioned I’m curious to see where it will lead into
the third one - i hope i won't be disappointed.
Even
though Kiera feels very lonely when she first moves to Seattle, she easily
finds a job and new friends. The daily routine hits her and Seattle becomes her
new home, surrounded by people she loves.
(Note:
Kellan's character is great! He is hot - of course - he is a rock star,
and has some past stories that still hunt him. With Kiera's help he will be
able to overcome them.)
I
have to admit that at times the book felt somehow repetitive, from the
1020 pages read, I started feeling like "not this again!" but when I finished
the book I understood why the author decided to make it this long, because it
gives the reader a great impression of "being tired" of the same
thing, just like the characters in the book. They were all heartbroken, and by
the end of the book you do feel like they are tired and willing to give up. I
actually prefer a book to be this way rather than being too fast paced and not
really getting any feelings from the whole story.
I
give this book an A (4.8) and recommend it to all of you romance lovers -
really loved the whole idea of it, made me sad at time and anxious to see what
happens next. I will read the 3rd one, Reckless, as soon as it comes out.
Get it on Amazon or on your E-reader.
Happy Reading!
xoxo, Diana
